How it's made

This candle is hand-poured and packed in the UK using a unique blend of sustainably sourced European soy wax and natural beeswax, finished with a pure cotton wick. The fragrance is created bespoke for Nkuku which means that it is a completely unique scent, and includes natural essential oils such as cumin, patchouli, and birch tar. The vessel is hand-blown from recycled glass by skilled makers in India, giving each one its own subtle variations.

Care Instructions

Approx. burn time 45-50hrs. Allow the wax to melt to either side of the candle vessels the first time you light it. Care for your candle wick by trimming to 5mm to ensure an even burn each time. Make sure you burn your candle in a well-ventilated room and keep away from drafts. For best results burn your candle for at least 2 hours but no more than 4 hours at a time. Do not move a burning candle. Always remove any dust or debris before re-lighting. Place on a stable, heat protected surface, safely away from children, pets and anything flammable. Always stop burning when there is approximately 10mm of candle left and never leave a lit candle unattended. Re use: To re-use your candle vessel once you have burnt your candle place in a freezer for 6-12 hrs or until the wax has shrunk away from the glass and can be gently knocked away from the glass. Wipe the vessel clean with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue. Do not leave to soak or clean with an abrasive cloth and harsh detergents. Do not scrub.
